Hatsune Miku becomes first virtual artist to headline the O2 with 2026 tour

In a landmark moment for live entertainment, virtual pop phenomenon Hatsune Miku is set to become the first virtual musician to headline London’s iconic The O2. The show, taking place on 12 November 2026, will launch HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2026 EUROPE, a seven-city arena run that underscores just how far digital performance has evolved over the past decade. Presented by Crypton Future Media, the tour marks another milestone for a character who has transformed from software voicebank into a global touring act capable of filling some of the world’s largest venues.

HATSUNE MIKU EXPO began in 2014 with a performance in Jakarta and has since travelled across North America, Europe and Oceania, amassing 120 shows in 50 cities worldwide. Now in its 12th year, the franchise continues to expand, with the European leg following an already announced North American tour in 2026. This year’s European edition carries a steampunk theme, with new visuals created by illustrator suzunosuke, blending retro-futuristic aesthetics, intricate gears and refined Victorian-inspired design. The two-week run will also be the largest number of European cities the tour has visited in a single outing.

General ticket sales begin at 9AM GMT on Friday 27 February via the official website, with preferred access available to Mastercard cardholders from the same time.
