Eric Cantona will release his debut studio album ‘Perfect Imperfection' on 13th March 2026 via Barclay (Universal Music France) and Fontana.
The 11-track album is available to pre-order now on CD, vinyl and digital, and the first single ‘On se love' is out now. Listen to the intimate ballad below:
The legendary former athlete has always loved music. For him, it is an extension of his overall work, an extension of his absolute need to express himself, just like theatre, cinema, painting, poetry, and photography. Nine of the album’s eleven songs were written and composed by Cantona himself, with the remaining tracks ‘Avoir le choix’ and ‘Perfect Imperfection' co-written with Johan Dalgaard (Johnny Hallyday), and ‘Droigts’, composed by Gaëtan Roussel. Both collaborators also appeared on his debut EP “I’ll Make My Own Heaven” (2023.)
Perfect Imperfection follows the sold-out success of Cantona’s ‘Cantona Sings Eric' tour, including a performance at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. On stage, the actor, singer, and former footballer appeared alone, accompanied only by piano and cello, stamping his mark on new artistic heights and musical endeavours.
Cantona isn’t as new to the scene as he claims. Having contributed lyrics for Lady Sir, a duo formed by his wife, actress and singer Rachida Brakni and Gaëtan Roussel, he had already ventured behind the mic on a few occasions.

The track listing for ‘Perfect Imperfection' is:
