Mitchell Tenpenny has ushered in a new chapter of music with the release of ‘You Phase,' the first taste of what’s shaping up to be a busy 2026 for the multi-platinum selling artist. Written by Tenpenny alongside Andy Albert and Cory Crowder, the track is available now across all digital platforms, with an official music video also out today. Built around a clever play on words, ‘You Phase' uses the idea of personal phases as a metaphor for relationships, capturing the uncertainty and self-discovery that often accompany life’s transitions.
Tenpenny explains that the concept immediately clicked when the phrase “you phase” came up during the writing session, inspiring him to reflect on the many phases he’s experienced, both good and bad. By framing a relationship as just one chapter in a larger journey, the song taps into a universal feeling of change as people navigate love, careers, and personal growth in search of clarity. The release follows his October single ‘Therapy' and sets the stage for more new music expected later this year.
Beyond new releases, Tenpenny is set to take part in a special night celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Listening Room with a performance at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on March 3. The event will also feature performances from HARDY, Blessing Offor, Jo Dee Messina, Phil Barton, Brian Davis, J.T. Harding, Matt Jenkins, Wendell Mobley, and James Slater, with tickets available now. Fans can find more details on Tenpenny’s upcoming headline dates, as well as his April run supporting HARDY on the Country! Country! Tour, by visiting his official website.
