Whiskey Myers are heading back to where it all began, announcing the eighth annual Wiggy Thump Festival set for April 25, 2026, in their hometown of Palestine, Texas. The multi-Platinum band will once again host the one-day event, joined this year by fellow Texas favorites Stoney LaRue, The Band Feel and 79 South, continuing a tradition that blends community, music and giving back.
Since its inception, the Wiggy Thump Festival has proudly supported the Anderson County Youth Livestock Association, raising more than $250,000 for the cause to date. The 2026 edition builds on that legacy, reaffirming Whiskey Myers’ deep ties to East Texas and their commitment to investing in the community that helped shape them. Tickets for the festival are on sale now via WhiskeyMyers.com.
The announcement arrives on the heels of the band’s seventh studio album, ‘Whomp Whack Thunder,' which has been widely praised as a creative high point. Rolling Stone described the record as “their most supercharged album yet,” highlighting the raw energy and freewheeling spirit that has long defined the genre-blurring independent outfit.
Throughout 2025, Whiskey Myers maintained a relentless touring schedule, taking Whomp Whack Thunder on the road with their What We Were Born To Do Tour, a co-headlining Live in 25 Tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band, and their own curated Whiskey Moon music vacation in Miramar Beach, Florida. The year also saw acoustic Whiskey Myers & Friends shows, festival appearances at Stagecoach and Talladega Superspeedway, and a national TV spot on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
As they look ahead to 2026, fans attending the Wiggy Thump Festival and future tour dates can expect the band’s signature powerhouse sound, now sharpened and amplified by the new material from Whomp Whack Thunder.
