The record draws inspiration from his country heroes — Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Hank Jr. and George Strait — while remaining unmistakably his own, an honest collection built on heart, grit and Southern soul.
Born in Tulsa and raised in Miami, Oklahoma, Wolfe first made waves in the Texas country scene with albums like ‘It All Happened in a Honky Tonk,' ‘Natural Man' and ‘Any Night in Texas.' His most recent record, ‘Dos Corazones,' marked a turning point in his artistry, and ‘Barstool Therapy: Session One' builds on that evolution with a return to roots-driven storytelling. “This album leans into my heroes,” Wolfe shares. “It’s me as a country music singer-songwriter on default, just being myself and having fun with the genre I fell in love with as a teenager.”
The record also features guest appearances like Randy Rogers on ‘Tequila Cowboys' and a playful music video for the title track starring comedian Uncle Lazer.
