The Friday Finest Five: The best new releases in Country music this week

Welcome to the newest edition of the Friday Finest Five — your weekly round-up of the most exciting new country releases hitting streaming platforms today. From soulful duets and heartbreak anthems to good old-fashioned honky-tonk and small-town reflections, this week’s lineup brings something for everyone. Let’s dive in.

Tigirlily Gold – ‘Mess Out of Me

The girls can say it better than we can – so here you go. “”We wrote ‘Mess Out of Me' to make people feel confident and sexy in their own skin. Growing up, we were inspired by confident women like Faith Hill and Shania Twain, and this is our take on what it means to be a fearless woman in country music. From the lyrics to the melodies to the harmonies, we wanted everything in this song to sound bold and big. This song really showcases the new season of music we are embarking on.” We love the bluesy vibe and the sultry vocals as Tigirlily Gold urge “You don't have to be so polite tonight!” Scoooorochio!

Megan Moroney – ‘Beautiful Things'

Megan Moroney returns today with a highly anticipated new single, ‘Beautiful Things.' Produced by Kristian Bush and co-written with Connie Harrington, Jessie Jo Dillon and Jessi Alexander, the song pairs Moroney’s trademark Emo Cowgirl honesty with a tender message of empathy and grace. Quietly powerful and emotionally resonant, ‘Beautiful Things' reaffirms Moroney’s gift for turning personal reflection into universal storytelling

Joe Hermes – ‘A Real Good Bad One'

Rising country-rock firebrand Joe Hermes turns up the volume again with his new single, ‘A Real Good Bad One.' Following his high-octane track ‘Honky Tonk Feelin’,' the new release cements Hermes’ reputation as one of country’s boldest independent voices. Fuelled by gritty vocals, searing guitar riffs and thunderous rhythms, ‘A Real Good Bad One' is pure barroom energy — the kind of song made for tailgate speakers, late-night dives and packed dance floors where no one’s ready to call it a night. UK fans should check out Hermes live on his upcoming tour – dates right here.

Zandi Holup – ‘Lucid Dreams (Pickin' in the Meadow)'

What a fascinating concept this is! Prolific artist-songwriter Zandi Holup has released her haunting rendition of Juice WRLD’s ‘Lucid Dreams' on October 22, as part of her ‘Wildflower: Pickin’ in the Meadow' collection. Known for her “rainy, sometimes shuddered vocals” (Billboard), Holup brings a raw, ethereal edge to the modern classic. True to the project’s name, the track was recorded live in a wildflower meadow in Nashville, capturing the natural ambience and emotional intimacy that define her distinctive sound. We love the sounds of nature and ethereal edge to Holup's vocals here as she makes this song her very own.

Carter Faith – ‘Fame is a Gun'

Carter Faith puts her own distinctive spin on Addison Rae’s ‘Fame Is a Gun' with a striking new cover out today via Amazon Music in celebration of Country Music Month. Produced by Tofer Brown, the track reimagines Rae’s pop anthem through Faith’s warm, rootsy lens, blending her signature storytelling and rich vocals with a fresh country edge. “I really wanted to find a song that I loved and could put my own spin on,” Faith shared. “Addison’s album has been on repeat for me since it came out, so it was a no-brainer to cover one of her songs.” The release coincides with another milestone moment for Faith, who will took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry this week, where she was named Amazon Music’s next Breakthrough Artist.
