Big Loud / Back Blocks Music rising star Ashley Cooke continues her breakout year with the release of two versions of her new single, ‘tin foil hat.' Written by Cooke alongside Seth Ennis, Mike Robinson, and Emily Weisband, and produced by Dan Huff, the song arrives in both its original form and a stripped-down “panic attack version,” each showcasing a different shade of Cooke’s emotional storytelling and vocal depth.
“‘tin foil hat’ is about those moments when your mind runs wild — when you take the smallest thing and suddenly you’re spiraling, creating entire stories from it,” Cooke shared. “It’s that tug-of-war between knowing you might be overthinking, but also wondering… what if you’re not?” The haunting introspection of the lyrics paired with Huff’s cinematic production makes the track one of Cooke’s most compelling releases yet.
Fans can stream both versions of ‘tin foil hat' now and watch the powerful official music video for ‘tin foil hat (panic attack version),' which captures the raw emotion and intensity behind the song’s message.
The new single follows a string of successful releases from Cooke this year, including her fiery radio hit ‘the hell you are,' which debuted as the No. 1 most added song at country radio, and her August single ‘swear words.' She also announced plans to release fan-favourite live track ‘baby blues' on November 14, continuing her steady streak of fresh music for fans.
It’s been a landmark year for the fast-rising country artist. Cooke headlined her own your place tour, joined Kane Brown on the road, earned an ACM nomination for New Female Artist, and released standout collaborations like ‘All I Forgot' with Joe Jonas and ‘the f word.' She also lit up CMA Fest, starred in a Hardee’s commercial alongside the Rizzler, and dropped one of her boldest anthems yet with ‘the hell you are.'
Currently, Cooke is on tour through November with country heavyweights Parker McCollum, Dustin Lynch, Brad Paisley, Lee Brice, and Dylan Scott, while also performing select headline shows and festival appearances across the U.S.
