First Time Flyers drop new single ‘Primadonna’ ahead of debut album release

Rising UK country group First Time Flyers have released their latest single, ‘Primadonna,” a fan favourite from their live shows. The track lands just weeks before the band’s highly anticipated debut album, ‘Bound To Break,' set for release on September 12.

“‘Primadonna’ seemed like the obvious choice as the single we release before our debut album comes out,” explains vocalist Poppy. Written about a character they encountered in the music industry, the song explores the idea that “everyone has a bit of Primadonna in them.” Fellow band member Vicki adds with a laugh, “We’ve been asked many times to say who the song is about. Maybe we will if our album goes top 10.”

The release coincides with three performances at this year’s Long Road Festival. “I think we enjoy playing the song as much as the fans enjoy hearing it,” says Tim, while Jake, a new father, admits, “I know you shouldn’t have a favourite child, but we do quite like this one.”

Since their formation, First Time Flyers have quickly built a reputation as one of the most exciting acts in the UK country scene. Known for their soaring harmonies, polished songwriting, and high-energy performances, the four-piece have become festival favourites and are now poised for a breakthrough moment with their first full-length record. Their growing fan base has helped cement them as leaders of the next wave of UK country talent.

Currently in the middle of a busy festival season, the band is gearing up for their biggest UK headline tour to date, which kicks off just days after the album’s release.
