Platinum-selling country artist Priscilla Block, known for her big personality, bold style and unapologetic confidence, is revealing a more vulnerable side with the announcement of her sophomore album ‘Things You Didn’t See' set for release October 10 via MCA. The project marks a new chapter for Block, who is pulling back the glittery curtain to ask fans, “Do you know me? Do you really know me?”
Block is giving listeners an early glimpse with ‘Couldn’t Care Less,' a raw and deeply personal track out now. Written with Trannie Anderson, Alex Maxwell, and Cole Taylor, and produced by four-time Grammy Award-winner David Garcia, the song reads like a letter to the music industry, unpacking the emotional toll behind her typically carefree image. “Writing ‘Couldn’t Care Less’ was the therapy I didn’t even know I needed,” Block shared. “For a long time, people have seen me as bulletproof, but this is a side they haven’t seen. It feels like the perfect way to lead into my record.”
The 14-track album takes fans behind the scenes of Block’s life over the past few years, delving into themes of anxiety, burnout, self-image struggles, online hate, and the pressures of fitting into country music’s mold. While more vulnerable than her previous work, the record still carries her signature sass and wit, offering a mix of songs about relationships, self-discovery, and resilience.
With ‘Things You Didn’t See,' Block is not only opening up about her own insecurities and challenges but also aiming to connect with a universal longing to be understood and accepted. The album is described as a cinematic and unfiltered soundtrack to the highs and lows of navigating your 20s, from heartbreak to growth to the pursuit of self-acceptance.
