Country superstar Lauren Alaina has released ‘Little Things,' a deeply personal new song reflecting on the loss of her father and the perspective shift that followed. Known for her relatability and openness, the Grand Ole Opry member shares that the sudden loss changed the way she views life’s daily frustrations.
Alaina says the song was inspired by a conversation with her brother, who, shortly after their father’s passing, realised that minor inconveniences—like the cost of eggs—no longer mattered in the face of such grief. Determined to capture that sentiment, Alaina wrote “Little Things” the same day, dedicating it to her dad.
Co-written with Ross Copperman, Seth Ennis, and Emily Falvey, and produced by hitmaker Joey Moi, the heartfelt ballad speaks directly to her father, imagining him smiling down as she learns to let go of life’s small annoyances.
‘Little Things' follows a string of recent releases showcasing Alaina’s range, from the fiery ‘All My Exes' featuring Chase Matthew to the tender ‘Those Kind of Women' and ‘Heaven Sent,' released to celebrate the birth of her baby girl. The track continues to cement her reputation as an artist unafraid to share her most vulnerable moments through song.
