The second season of Finnish series ‘Freezing Embrace' is coming to C4 Streaming this month.
Written by Veli-Pekka Hänninen, the series stars Mikko Leppilampi, Jemina Sillanpää and Onni Parviainen. It features six 60-minute episodes.
‘Freezing Embrace' returns to the haunting Finnish town of Porvoo, where Chief Inspector investigates a series of ritualistic murders in the wake of Season 1’s dramatic finale. This season the drama delves deeper into psychological territory, pairing Hautalehto with Suvi Vettenranta, a former art forger newly out of prison and quickly drawn into the heart of the case.
As the investigation leads to a mysterious and charismatic artist known only as “the Master,” the series blends classic Nordic noir with eerie atmosphere and emotional depth. Based on Christian Rönnbacka’s detective novels, Season 2 explores themes of guilt, trust, and the corrosive power of memory, all set against Finland’s stark winter landscapes.
