Blue’s Lee Ryan debuts new solo single ‘One More Night’

Lee Ryan, one fourth of the UK boyband Blue, has returned to the solo spotlight with his new single ‘One More Night'.

The song is available to stream now and it blends modern pop production with Ryan's soulful vocals. The song arrives with an official visualiser, that features Ryan in a boat with the sun looming overhead.

‘One More Night' wasn't originally meant to be a solo release for Ryan, who writes for other artists as well as his own material. He considered pitching it to other artists and contemplated recording it with blue, but after getting feedback from friends, he decided to record and release it himself.

Initially written years ago as a ballad reminiscent of Sam Smith, ‘One More Night' has been reimagined with a fresh, upbeat arrangement that brings a summery energy to the deeply personal lyrics. While the song holds special meaning for Ryan, he prefers to keep the original inspiration private, inviting listeners to interpret it in their own way.

The song is Ryan's first solo release since his debut album ‘Lee Ryan', which was released 20 years ago in 2005. That album featured the Top 3 smash ‘Army of Lover' and the single ‘Turn Your Car Around'. As a founding member of Blue, Ryan has sold over 15 million records and enjoyed huge hits with the band including ‘All Rise', ‘One Love' and ‘Guilty'. Blue also represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011.

‘One More Night' is the first taste of the solo music that Ryan has been working on. It's available to stream now.
