Stephen King’s legendary 1986 horror novel ‘IT' is getting a special, collector's edition upgrade. The Folio Society announces a strictly limited illustrated edition run of the iconic story, launching on 15th July 2025.
With only 500 copies available, this collector’s release will be available for a limited time only. Featuring haunting new artwork by award-winning sci-fi and fantasy illustrator Jim Burns, this edition brings horror master King’s terrifying world to life like never before.
‘IT' helped to cement Stephen King’s reputation as the master of modern horror and introduced readers to one of pop culture’s most enduring nightmares: the shapeshifting malevolent clown Pennywise. This Folio Society edition elevates the classic with 11 double-page black-and-white illustrations and 6 double page in full colour. This edition is bound in quarter leather with printed cloth sides and presented in a deluxe cloth-covered clamshell box designed by David Curtis. The edition even includes Curtis’s custom instructions for crafting Georgie’s infamous paper boat—an eerie nod to the story’s unforgettable opening.
With every detail approved by Stephen King himself, The Folio Society calls this edition “essential for any serious fan of the genre,” adding: “Jim Burns’ illustrations reveal all the terror and mystery of ‘IT'… a book that has grown bigger than itself and now infuses
much of our popular culture. Some readers might be surprised to see how much was (inevitably) missed in the adaptations.”
Priced at £590, the limited edition will be available exclusively from foliosociety.com starting at 4pm UK time (11am EST, 8am PT) on 15th July 2025. See The Folio Society for more information.
