Rising country artist and songwriter Vincent Mason is back with his latest release, ‘Painkiller,' a gritty, guitar-driven anthem that fuses high-energy country with themes of love, loneliness, and emotional rescue. Out now via Interscope/MCA Nashville/Music Soup, the track showcases Mason’s knack for pairing raw vulnerability with an irresistible sonic edge.
Co-written with Nashville heavyweights Jessie Jo Dillon, Luke Laird, and Chase McDaniel, ‘Painkiller' tells the story of a woman who enters your life at just the right moment and leaves a lasting impact. With blistering guitar riffs, a pulsing beat, and Mason’s signature Southern drawl, the song captures the euphoria of new love and the unexpected comfort it brings during dark times.
“‘Painkiller' is one of my favorite songs I’ve put out so far,” Mason said. “I wrote this with one of my songwriting heroes, Luke Laird, and two of my favorite writers in town, Jessie Jo Dillon and Chase McDaniel. The record has a lot of different sides to it, and I’m excited to share this one first.”
The single follows the momentum of Mason’s recent releases, ‘Wish You Well' and ‘Waitin’ On You To Wear Off' and further cements his reputation as one of country music’s most promising new voices. Known for balancing emotional storytelling with an edgy sound, Mason continues to carve out a lane that’s all his own. His breakout hit ‘Hell is a Dance Floor' has surpassed 160 million streams and was recently certified Gold by the RIAA.
Mason has been on the road throughout 2025 on his sold-out debut headline run, the “Hell Is A Dance Floor Tour,” which added a second leg due to overwhelming demand. He’s also set to open for major acts including Riley Green, Luke Bryan, Jordan Davis, and Parker McCollum, with festival appearances lined up nationwide. As ‘Painkiller' hits the airwaves, Mason shows no signs of slowing down.
