Scotty McCreery teams up with Hootie & The Blowfish for new summer anthem ‘Bottle Rockets’

Scotty McCreery is lighting the fuse on summer with the release of his new single ‘Bottle Rockets,' featuring legendary band Hootie & The Blowfish. The upbeat track, now available on all streaming platforms, is a nostalgic tribute to carefree teenage summers, blending McCreery’s signature country style with the timeless sound of one of the Carolinas’ most iconic rock bands.

Co-written by McCreery and a powerhouse team including Brent Anderson, Derek George, Jeremy Bussey, Monty Criswell, Frank Rogers, Bobby Hamrick, and Hootie members Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, and Jim Sonefeld, the song is produced by Frank Rogers. ‘Bottle Rockets' also incorporates a fresh recording of Hootie & The Blowfish’s hit ‘Hold My Hand,' seamlessly connecting past and present through shared Southern roots.

“This song takes me back to those summers of having fun with no responsibilities, with good times and good tunes,” McCreery said. “Growing up in the Carolinas, Hootie & The Blowfish were just massive and such a huge part of my summers. That’s what this song is about.”

The collaboration arrives just as McCreery prepares to head overseas for a five-date headlining UK tour with opener Caylee Hammack. The sold-out run includes stops in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, and London, with additional performances in Birmingham. When he returns stateside, fans can catch McCreery at the Grand Ole Opry on June 4, followed by a performance at CMA Fest’s Nissan Stadium on June 5.

This summer, McCreery will appear at fairs and festivals across the U.S. before launching into the Two for the Road Tour with Dustin Lynch this fall. The co-headlining tour kicks off November 6 in Saginaw, Michigan.

In addition to new music and tour plans, McCreery recently announced ‘Seasons Change: Platinum Edition,' an expanded version of his hit album featuring four bonus tracks. The re-release includes acoustic versions of all three of the album’s No. 1 singles and fan favourite ‘Still.' The limited-edition collection will be available on platinum-colored double vinyl exclusively through Amazon and on CD via McCreery’s official website starting June 20.
