Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Brent Cobb has announced the release of his new album ‘Ain’t Rocked in a While,' set to arrive July 11 via Ol’ Buddy Records/Thirty Tigers. The project marks a first for Cobb, as it features his full band, The Fixin’s and was recorded live to tape at The Black Palace in Springfield, Missouri. In celebration of the announcement, Cobb has also released the album’s title track, now available to stream alongside its official music video. Pre-order and pre-save here.
Produced by Cobb and Oran Thornton, ‘Ain’t Rocked in a While' captures the raw, high-energy spirit of Cobb’s live performances while staying grounded in his signature Southern storytelling. Drawing inspiration from classic rock giants like Black Sabbath, Metallica, and AC/DC, the album blends gritty rock influences with the warmth and soul of traditional country. “I feel like sometimes when people come to our shows, there might be a disconnect,” Cobb said. “Our live show kinda rocks… I want people to have an album of reference.”
Cobb and The Fixin’s—Len Clark (drums), Matt McDaniel (guitar), and Josh Williams (bass)—will continue touring this summer with headline shows and festival appearances across the U.S. This new chapter follows the success of Cobb’s 2023 album ‘Southern Star' and adds to a career that includes cuts for some of country’s biggest names.
