Bruce Springsteen is set to unveil seven previously unreleased albums this summer with ‘Tracks II: The Lost Albums,' arriving June 27 via Sony Music. The long-rumoured collection spans 83 songs and offers a deep dive into Springsteen’s career, revealing significant yet unheard chapters of his artistic journey. Pre-order & Pre-save Here.
“The Lost Albums were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” Springsteen shared. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”
The collection spans 35 years of Springsteen’s songwriting and home recording, from 1983 to 2018. It features everything from the lo-fi LA Garage Sessions ’83, which bridges the gap between Nebraska and Born in the U.S.A., to the electronic textures of Streets of Philadelphia Sessions. The set also showcases Springsteen’s diverse creative directions, including film soundtrack work for an unmade movie on Faithless, country-infused storytelling on Somewhere North of Nashville, borderland narratives on Inyo, and orchestral noir on Twilight Hours.
“The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions,” Springsteen explained.
Along with the announcement, fans get an early taste of The Lost Albums with the release of ‘Rain In The River' a track from Perfect World. The song reflects the album’s arena-ready E Street Band sound, giving a first glimpse into this long-awaited collection.
