Country hitmaker Cole Swindell is gearing up to release his fifth studio album, Spanish Moss, on June 27. The title track will be available this Friday, giving fans their first taste of the highly anticipated project. The album includes Swindell’s current Top 10 single, ‘Forever To Me,' a deeply personal song inspired by his love story with his wife, Courtney, and now also marking the upcoming birth of their first child, a daughter due this fall. Last month, Swindell released a special remix version of the song, ‘Forever To Me (Our Version),' featuring never-before-seen wedding footage.
Swindell describes ‘Spanish Moss' as a project that has been two years in the making, balancing personal growth with his signature small-town storytelling. He reflects on the challenge of following up his hit album ‘Stereotype' while making sure the new record remains true to his journey. The album features a mix of heartfelt ballads and high-energy tracks, including songs like ‘Kill A Prayer,' ‘Dirty Dancing,' ‘Dale Jr.' and ‘Country Boy Can’t Survive.'
The title ‘Spanish Moss' holds special meaning for Swindell, reminding him of where his father lived during his childhood. He credits the patience and risks taken throughout the album-making process for shaping this collection into something different from anything he has done before. Swindell hopes listeners can connect with the songs and find their own stories reflected in the music.
As always, Swindell kept his dedicated Down Home Crew fanbase in the loop, gradually revealing details of the album in the lead-up to the official announcement. ‘Spanish Moss' is available for physical pre-order now, with digital pre-orders beginning Friday.
