Ashley Ryan has released the music video for her latest release ‘Wrong Post'.
The video premiered with CMT Music and it features Ryan waitressing at a drama-filled dive bar, crushing over her manager, who is seemingly into another employee. Showcasing her dazzling acting skills, Ryan holds her own as her boss realizes that he “tied his horse to the wrong post,” by choosing the other waitress who is notoriously known to “get around, sun up to sun down.”
The song was co-penned by Frank Stopak, Quinn Loggins, Larry McCoy and Ryan herself. ‘Wrong Post' showcases Ryan’s head-turning vocal prowess and spitfire lyrics all backed by an addictive melody reminiscent of a classic country tune with a modern twist.
“‘Wrong Post’ came about after, you guessed it, a relationship gone south,” said Ryan of the inspiration behind the song. “There is nothing more painful than loving someone who not only doesn’t love you back, but betrays your trust by cheating. After reaching the acceptance stage of grief, I was ready to move on and write my therapy song! ‘Wrong Post’ emphasizes the frustration a girl goes through by being mistreated, but also highlights the satisfaction of watching him get a taste of his own medicine.”
Ryan kicked off the year unleashing her signature sass and unapologetic energy with ‘Adeline', paying homage to Dolly Parton’s 1973 hit, ‘Jolene'. ‘Adeline' follows Ryan’s October release, ‘Better Than Leavin', a fiery anthem that combines attitude and heart in a way only Ryan can. She also released ‘Stunt Double' which was co-written by hit makers Shane McAnally, Trevor Rosen and Hillary Lindsey.
Ryan burst onto the scene in 2023, when her debut song with Spinville Entertainment, ‘Hush Little Baby' quickly went viral, amassing over 35 million views on TikTok and Facebook, and nearly 16 million streams on Spotify alone.
