Greylan James is heading to Country radio for the first time as an artist with his debut single ‘Wait Til You Have Kids'.
No stranger to radio thanks to having written songs for some of the biggest artists in the world such as Jordan Davis (‘Next Thing You Know') and Kenny Chesney (‘Happy Does'), James is now making a mark with his own music. Listen to the song below:
“Over the past few years, I’ve been blessed enough to hear songs I wrote on Country radio, but since I was a kid, I’ve had a dream in the back of my mind of hearing my own voice on my favorite stations,” said James. “I wrote this song about a saying my mom always used as a reminder to live in the moment. This is one of those surreal moments, so that's exactly what I'm doing now.”
Written by James and Mat Roy, the Jason Massey and Brock Berryhill-produced tune explores the ways in which priorities and perceptions shift when you become a parent.
After ending 2024 with an ACM Award and BMI Award, James snagged his first award show wins for co-writing Jordan Davis’ No. 1 hit ‘Next Thing You Know' which also landed James a 2023 CMA Award nomination for the same category.
James recently wrapped a 17-date run on Ashley Cooke’s ‘your place Tour', which hit major cities like New York, Chicago and Nashville. The rising star will play at various fairs and festivals throughout the summer. For a full list of tour dates, please visit GreylanJames.com.
