After nearly four years, Blake Shelton is making his return with ‘For Recreational Use Only,' his highly anticipated debut with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, set for release on May 9. Fans can pre-order, pre-add, and pre-save the album now.
Leading the way is Shelton’s Top 10 hit single ‘Texas,' which has been embraced by country radio and praised by People magazine as “rollicking.” Alongside it, a new track, ‘Let Him In Anyway,' is available today. The emotionally charged ballad, co-written by Hardy, tells the story of a man seeking divine forgiveness for a lost friend. “This is one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever recorded,” Shelton shared. “When I first heard it, I knew it was something special.”
The 12-track album blends heartfelt storytelling with Shelton’s signature sound, featuring guest appearances from Gwen Stefani, John Anderson, and Craig Morgan. Produced by longtime collaborator Scott Hendricks, the project reflects years of dedication and creativity. “It’s been a long time since we put out a new album,” Shelton said. “Scott and I have worked on this music for years, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it with the fans.”
