Adam Hood has released the music video for his recent single ‘Four on the Floor', featuring Brent Cobb.
Shot at this year’s Mile 0 Festival in Key West, Florida, the video features both Hood and Cobb riffing out in a tropical scene surrounded by a carefree, good-time crowd where the energy is uplifting and infectious, aligning perfectly with the aura of ‘Four On The Floor'. Watch it below:
“Four On The Floor” is a celebration of southern simplicity coming from two guys who live what they sing, the swampy mid-tempo is driven by a strong electric guitar groove and perfectly pairs Hood’s classic tenor with Cobb’s raspy allure. It is co-written by Hood and Cobb with Jason Saenz (‘Song Back' for Little Big Town, ‘End Up Us' for Tigirlily Gold) and is also the name of Hood’s tour, which kicked off in early January and continues through the end of May.
“Sometimes a song doesn’t have to follow a deep narrative; it can just be a fun, free-flowing expression,” said Hood of the upcoming song release. “That’s exactly what ‘Four On The Floor’ is. The lyrics came from casual conversations, and we laid them over a really greasy, feel-good groove.
“We wrote it with our ol’ buddy Jason Saenz a handful of years back so it’s nothin’ too new but that’s sorta the point of the song anyway, ain’t it… Four On The Floor is classic Cobb n’ Hood. Good times,” added Cobb.
Hood has a history of collaborating with Cobb: in 2022 (the same year he made his Grand Ole Opry debut), Hood released his album ‘Bad Days Better' with Cobb at the production helm. Then, in 2024, the pair partnered again for the release of four digital singles, including ‘Beat That Train', ‘Bills in Alabama', ‘Here to Tell Ya', and ‘Stage Lights'.
Hood’s tour continues Friday with a stop in Bluff Dale, TX at Double D BBQ. He’ll wrap the tour with a performance at the Graham Downtown Square in Graham, Texas on 14th June. Additional dates may be added.
