Louie TheSinger has release new track ‘Quicker Way to Jesus' along with the accompanying music video.
Out now via UMG Nashville, ‘Quicker Way to Jesus' is a song about a man stumbling his way through life after a betrayal by “that girl left me in the rear view.” Watch the video for the song below:
“The songs I’m singing – I’ve lived them all,” says Louie. “I’ve seen my mom in church praying for me as I made my way out of heartbreak the only way I knew how at the time. When we play this song live, it connects with people. I think everyone goes through some kind of heartbreak at one time or another, and when I’m honest about how I made it through some of the battles I’ve fought in my life, I feel like it helps people see hope for theirs.”
The song was co-written by Louie, Josh Thompson, and Justin Ebach (who also produced). Louie brought in A-team musicians including four-time CMA musician of the year, Jenee Fleenor, on fiddle, Jackson Nance on Acoustic Guitar, ACM Electric Guitarist of the Year Rob McNelly and five-time ACM nominee, Justin Schipper on Steel Guitar for an addictive track Louie poured his vocal onto.
The music video, directed by cakemaster and shot at the First Christian Church in Fort Worth, Texas, features Louie playing the conflicted character seeking salvation in one scene while, “hell bound not ready to ease up,” in the next, leaving the viewer to ponder which road he will ultimately take.
Last year Louie toured the U.S. to sold out venues watching fans sing his songs word for word. He wrapped 2024 by representing his culture at the People’s Choice Country Awards in Nashville, decked out in a jacket paying tribute to one of his musical heroes, Freddy Fender. In November, he was honoured for his contribution to Country music as a Latino, with an Origin Impact Award. He is working on a full album of new music as he continues to tour and connect with audiences around the country.
