Ian Munsick announces third studio album ‘Eagle Feather’

With the success of his sophomore album ‘White Buffalo,' Wyoming native Ian Munsick has continued to share his unique blend of country storytelling and Western heritage. Now, he is set to expand on that vision with his third studio album, ‘Eagle Feather,' scheduled for release on April 18, 2025, via Warner Music Nashville.

Inspired by the sacred Native American symbol of honour, strength, and wisdom, ‘Eagle Feather' serves as a continuation of the themes introduced in ‘White Buffalo,' showcasing Munsick’s growth as both an artist and a storyteller. The 20-track album reflects his personal experiences, exploring the land, people, and culture that have shaped him.

“Eagle Feather is a tribute to a sacred way of life. One that epitomises the voice of country music, yet is rarely heard among the masses,” Munsick explains. “Every one of these 20 songs is rooted in true, personal experiences that have helped create the man I am today. I offer this body of work to anyone who loves the freedom of looking over a sunset on the mountain or the sanctity of returning to the people and places we care about most.”

Produced by Munsick alongside Jared Conrad and Jeremy Spillman, ‘Eagle Feather' features collaborations with Lainey Wilson and Cleto Cordero of Flatland Cavalry. The album also includes songwriting contributions from Caitlyn Smith and Stephen Wilson Jr., as well as two rare outside cuts—'Drink Around' and ‘Horses Not Hearts.'

The newly released track ‘Horses Not Hearts' challenges the stereotype of cowboys as heartbreakers, offering a fresh perspective on Western life. “All the best cowboys I know are men of character. Somewhere along the trail, cowboys got a reputation for being reckless heartbreakers. I thought it was time to set the record straight—real cowboys break horses, not hearts,” Munsick says.

Munsick’s previous album, White Buffalo, was accompanied by the documentary White Buffalo: Voices of the West, which explored the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers, and Native American tribes. The documentary earned 19 awards, 14 film festival selections, and was named Best Documentary of 2024 by Cowboys & Indians. Following its release, Munsick was officially adopted by the Crow Tribe after his sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut in recognition of his work with them.

Currently, Munsick is headlining his Horses Are Faster Tour, featuring a rotating lineup of rising country artists including Colby Acuff, Avery Anna, Chayce Beckham, Bayker Blankenship, Kashus Culpepper, Hudson Westbrook, and Jake Worthington. He previously toured in support of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour and opened select dates on Morgan Wallen’s record-breaking One Night At A Time Tour.
