The final of the latest series of ‘The Masked Singer UK' aired last night and the final three contestants were unmasked.
Dressed Crab, Wolf and Pufferfish took to the stage to fool the panel and viewers at home, with the panel – Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall – joined by special guest panellist and last year’s winner, Danny Jones giving their best guesses.
Each of the masked celebrities performed duets with past contestants – Dressed Crab performed with Airfryer (Keala Settle), Pufferfish performed with Piranha (Danny Jones) and Wolf performed with Knitting (Claire Richards) – before the unmaskings began.
Wolf was first to be unmasked as Marti Pellow, who told host Joel Dommett, “I've had a fantastic time. It's just an incredible experience for me.”
Dressed Crab was next to be unmasked as Gregory Porter, talking about their experience on the show they said, “This is extraordinary. It's a real moment for me. Sometimes I'm singing all those serious songs and this was just straight up fun.
Pufferfish was crowned the winner, and was unmasked as Samantha Barks, who said, “I've had the best time. Underneath the mask, I've been smiling so hard – it's hurting my cheeks! It's been amazing.”
