Walter Presents is bringing ‘The Day' season 1 to C4 Streaming in 2025.
The 12-episode series is written by Jonas Geirnaert and Julie Mahieu. It stars Sofie Decleir, Jeroen Perceval, Willy Thomas, Lukas De Wolf, Johan Van Assche, Titus De Voogdt, Maaike Neuville, Geert Van Rampelberg, Bert Haelvoet, Barbara Sarafian, Ruth Becquart and Jelle De Beule.
An ingenious bank robbery in a quiet Flemish town spirals out of control. Police and hostage takers start a nail-biting cat-and-mouse game that holds the town in its grip for an entire day. A taut, suspenseful mystery told in a unique parallel perspective.
The series alternately looks at events from the perspective of the police and the press, as well as that of the bank robbers, the victims and their families. Each new instalment lifts a tiny piece of the veil, and the viewers gradually realize there’s more to this than meets the eye.
The clock is ticking. Lives are hanging by a thread. And nobody is to be trusted.
Walter Presents: ‘The Day' will launch as a full boxset on C4 Streaming on 24th January 2025.
