Written by Perry, alongside Jet Harvey and Jackson Nance, ‘If You Can’t, Don’t' dives into the internal struggles we all face and the journey to embrace our true selves. Perry calls it a return to his “first true love”—himself. The track has already caught the attention of the music industry, earning him the coveted MusicRow DISCovery Award. Produced by three-time GRAMMY-winner Nathan Chapman, Perry's upcoming project promises to be a heartfelt exploration of his personal and musical evolution. Perry himself is eager for fans to hear his new music, saying, “I’m excited for my fans to hear ‘If You Can’t, Don’t.’ I’m able to show a side of myself and open up in a way I haven’t up till now.”
Perry celebrated the release in true Nashville style with a debut performance at Barstool Nashville, hosted by The 615 House. The event was a vibrant showcase of his raw talent and magnetic stage presence, reaffirming that his solo career is only just beginning.
Having found early success with The Band Perry, including a GRAMMY win for Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2015, and ACM and CMA Awards, Perry is now embracing a new chapter. His breakout solo project, currently in the works, promises to reveal even more of the artist’s heart and soul.
