Big Machine Records has officially signed GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer/songwriter Ryan Hurd to its prestigious roster, joining a lineup of top country artists that includes Tim McGraw, Carly Pearce, Midland, Rascal Flatts, and Jackson Dean.
“Ryan has been a significant part of our Big Machine family through his songwriting with Big Machine Music,” said Big Machine Label Group Chairman & CEO Scott Borchetta. “Adding his recorded artistry to the Big Machine Records roster is truly an honor.”
Hurd is a prolific songwriter and artist, amassing over one billion career streams and earning multiple award nominations, including two GRAMMY® nods. His debut album, Pelago, reached the top five on Spotify’s most-streamed country albums and received widespread critical acclaim. Hurd’s songwriting has also contributed to PLATINUM No. 1 hits for Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Lady A, Jordan Davis, and Diplo/Morgan Wallen, among others.
Kris Lamb, EVP/General Manager of Big Machine Records, expressed his excitement about the signing: “I’ve been a massive fan of Ryan’s music for over a decade, and I’m thrilled to represent his exceptional artistry. This is more than a milestone – it’s a full-circle moment.”
Hurd’s first release with Big Machine Records, titled “This Party Sucks,” is set to drop on Friday, October 25. The single follows his independently released tracks “Midwest Rock & Roll” and “Go To Bed Sober” from earlier this year. Fans can also look forward to a full-length project expected in 2025.
Sharing his excitement, Hurd said, “I’m incredibly excited to have a fresh start with Big Machine. Working with their publishing team has been great, and I can’t wait to release my album with them. A big thank you to Scott, Allison, Kris, Mike, Alex, and the entire team for believing in this project.”
