Country music legend and entertainment icon Reba McEntire is adding yet another hit to her storied career, this time teaming up with renowned songwriter Carole King. The duo has co-written the theme song for NBC's upcoming comedy series ‘Happy’s Place,' which will premiere on Friday, October 18, at 8 p.m. The song, released by MCA Nashville, is now available on all major streaming platforms and will debut during the show's premiere. Fans can also catch episodes streaming the following day on Peacock.
McEntire expressed her excitement about the project, saying, “I’m so happy for the opportunity to write the theme song for ‘Happy’s Place' with my good friend, Carole King. It just doesn’t get much better than that! I hope my fans will love this song as much as they did the theme song for the Reba show.”
‘Happy’s Place' follows McEntire’s character, Bobbie, who inherits her father’s tavern, only to discover she has a new, unexpected business partner—her half-sister Isabella, played by Belissa Escobedo. The cast also features Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn.
The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and was created by Kevin Abbott and Julie Abbott. Executive producers include Kevin Abbott, Reba McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry, and Pamela Fryman.
