Fancy Hagood has released new single ‘Ever Really Ready', the latest taster from his upcoming album ‘American Spirit‘ due 25th October 2024.
The opening track of the album was written by Hagood when he was on a solo tour following a tough breakup earlier this year. The song reflects the singer-songwriter's journey towards resilience, healing and growth. It's described as ‘an anthem for those who have made it to the other side of heartache and discovered there are still new versions of themselves left to behold'.
Talking about the song Hagood shares, “The opening song of the album turns out to be the last song written and recorded at the 11th hour of making this record. I went through my first real break up in April 2024 and immediately hit the road solo for a tour. This song is so special to me, because it tells the story of finding connection, keeping your heart open, and the surprise adventure that found me only a couple months after such a devastating moment in my personal life. I had the feeling of serendipity while on the road making new connections. I found out that who I was on the other side of heartache was actually a version of myself I had never met before. It was a gift for me to discover that side of myself!”
‘Ever Really Ready' follows the release of previous singles ‘Losing Game', ‘Good Grief' and ‘Through'.
Hagood will celebrate the release of ‘American Spirit' with a live show on 28th October 2024 at Nashville's American Legion.
