James Blunt releases unheard demo of ‘Wisemen’

James Blunt has released an unheard demo version of ‘Wisemen' ahead of the release of his 20th anniversary edition of debut album ‘Back to Bedlam'.

“‘Wisemen' was one of the first songs I ever wrote, aged 17 in my dorm at boarding school,” James said of the track. “I didn’t record the demo till eleven years later… And this is it.” Listen to the demo below:

Included in this special 20th anniversary release comes a special version of the original album remastered for 2024 by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis, in addition to previously unreleased demos of the core songs from the album, plus previously unreleased songs from the ‘Bedlam' era.

‘Back to Bedlam' features the hit single “You're Beautiful”, which catapulted Blunt to global stardom. The album is one of the Top 10 best-selling albums of the 00s with over 11 million copies sold.
