Platinum-selling country star and five-time 2024 CMA Awards nominee Cody Johnson is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated ‘Leather Deluxe Edition' on November 1. The expanded album will feature 13 brand-new tracks, in addition to all 12 songs from last November’s original release, bringing the total to 25 songs. Produced by Trent Willmon, the album will be available in stores, including vinyl, as well as on all digital platforms. Fans can pre-order the deluxe edition now.
The album’s debut single, ‘I’m Gonna Love You,' a duet with Carrie Underwood, premiered today on iHeartRadio and will impact country radio on Monday, September 30. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Dustin Haney, the official music video was shot in Wells, Nevada, and Nashville, Tennessee, this summer, with its debut airing on CMT. Fans can also catch an exclusive behind-the-scenes look during the YouTube Premium Afterparty. The song was written by Chris Stevens, Kelly Archer, and Travis Denning.
Johnson’s current success continues with his latest chart-topping hit, ‘Dirt Cheap,' which earned him the Storyteller Song of the Year at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards. Another fan favourite, ‘The Painter,' took home the NSAI 2024 Song of the Year award for its writers Benjy Davis, Kat Higgins, and Ryan Larkins. Both of these #1 hits are featured on the ‘Leather Deluxe Edition.'
