With Cody & Carrie’s imminent we look at the best duets of 2024 so far

This Friday, September 27th, Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood release what might well be the most anticipated duet of 2024 in ‘I'm Gonna Love You.' We can't wait and we know you guys feel the same so to tide you over, because we all love a classic Country music duet, we thought we would take a look at the best duets of the year and provide you with a playlist to listen to.

The playlist is after our feature on our favourite duets and is currently 76 songs and four and a half hours long!

Ella Langley and Riley Green

‘You Look Like You Love Me' is easily the zeitgeist duet of the year so far. Can Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood match it's online and viral success? It's taken TikTok by storm and even crossed over into other mainstream areas too. The video might well win awards for its wild west setting as well!

Ovrille Peck and Mickey Guyton

‘Where Are We Now' is a gorgeous track that can found on Peck's new ‘Stampede' album. The song builds to an insanely catchy chorus where the two distinctive at play in the song work really well together. Peck's rich baritone and Guyton's clean, sharp voice helps this song to really soar when they are singing together.

Noah Hicks and Shaylen

A commercial Country classic in the style of the greats like Brad & Carrie and Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson here. Two rising artists singing an intriguing tale of love, the second time around after they had gone down in flames at the first attempt. We love the drama and we love the big chorus and melody of this duet.

Darius Rucker and Jennifer Nettles

A re-working of a Darius song, adding in Ms Nettles was a genius idea. Jennifer brings her unique and powerful vocals to this song about long term love. Their voices work so well together as they weave a tale of longevity and love that will appeal to people in similar situations, keeping their love alive over the years in the face of everything life has to throw at you.

Post Malone and Dolly Parton

Malone released an album this year that was 90% duets and so we couldn't complete this feature without including one of those. Sure, the ones with Blake Shelton and Luke Combs are fun but it's the classic male / female duet that we are a sucker for and they don't come any better than ‘Have the Heart.' Sure, we get a little uncomfortable listening to Dolly talking about feeling sexy but then, alongside being the Queen of Country music we'll give her the leeway to be the Queen of Cougars too!

If you want to dig into all the duets we've been listening to in 2024 then feel free to follow or subscribe to the playlist below – which we will add to all the way to end of the year! Let's see if we can make it to 100 songs by December 31st!
