LL COOL J and Eminem have teamed up for new song ‘Murdergram Deux', and the video has just been released.
Taken from LL COOL J's new album ‘The Force‘, ‘Murdergram Deux' features a video directed by JakeTheShooter and shot in Detroit. The energetic performance transitions seamlessly between meticulously recreated sets, bringing legendary album covers and timeless Hip-Hop visuals to life in a fresh, modern way. The moments include LL’s album cover of ‘Bigger and Deffer (BAD)', Big Daddy Kane’s cover art for ‘Long Live the Kane', LL’s ‘Going Back to Cali' music video, and the 1996 ‘Live from Death Row' Vibe cover.
The track showcases both artists' signature lyrical prowess and unfiltered aggression, making it an instant standout off the new record and a classic Hip-Hop track. The song blends LL COOL J's masterful flow with Eminem's razor-sharp wit, creating a dynamic that is both explosive and unforgettable.
LL COOL J's ‘The Force (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy)' is the hip-hop icon's first album in over a decade. It was released on 6th September 2024 via Def Jam Recordings / Virgin Music Group and features 14 songs.
“It feels good to finally have this record out in the world,” LL said. “As I’ve said before, this album brings a whole new vibe. I’m returning to my roots…you all better buckle up.”
‘The Force' covers heady topical themes like racial injustice, law enforcement abuses, isolation and observations brought on by the pandemic, legacy, and musings on LL’s place in the canon, while remaining vital, fun, and some of LL’s most urgent lyrical work. With this album, LL offers a roadmap for the terrain an entire genre and culture might soon be inspired enough to explore.
