The Oak Ridge Boys to release new album “Mama’s Boys” in October

The Oak Ridge Boys will release new album “Mama's Boys” via Lightning Rod/Thirty Tigers on Friday 25th October 2024.

The project is the band's fifth collaboration with producer Dave Cobb. It was recorded at the Historic RCA Studio A and Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennesse. First single, ‘I Thought About You, Lord' featuring Willie Nelson, is out now.

“When David Cobb played, “I Thought About You, Lord”, written by Willie Nelson, I felt I was listening to a masterpiece,” shares Duane Allen. “I thought Willie has recorded with just about everyone but us. So, I called Buddy Cannon, who had recently been producing Willie, to see if Willie would sing his song with us. He replied that he would be honored to sing with the Oaks. When Willie’s vocals were finished, the masterpiece was completed!”

“Mama's Boys” is the band's first record with Ben James singing tenor and for it, they've chosen songs that pay tribute not just to their own mothers, but to mothers everywhere who give us life, hope, and unwavering love. The album is available to pre-order now at orcd.co/mamasboys.
