This October, they will add to that tally with another eight-night residency. Tickets are still available for these highly anticipated performances, which will feature support from artists including Alice Randall, Garrison Starr, Mary Gauthier, Caitlin & Liz Rose, Matraca Berg, Iris DeMent, Gretchen Peters, and Kim Richey.
A Celebrated Career
Jason Isbell has earned his reputation as one of the most respected songwriters of his generation. His ability to capture profound human emotions and turn them into poetic songs has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. His breakthrough came with the 2013 release of ‘Southeastern' followed by ‘Something More Than Free' (2015) and ‘The Nashville Sound' (2017), both of which won GRAMMY Awards for Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Song. His song ‘Maybe It’s Time' was featured in the 2019 reboot of A Star Is Born.
Isbell's 2020 album ‘Reunions' was praised for its introspective and powerful songwriting, and its creation was documented in the film ‘Running With Our Eyes Closed' by director Sam Jones. ‘Weathervanes,' released in summer 2023, continued this trend of introspective storytelling.
From Music to Film
Jason Isbell also made a notable appearance as Bill Smith in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon' which earned a 2024 SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture. Isbell's experience on the set with Scorsese informed his approach to collaboration and creativity in the studio.
“It definitely helped when I got into the studio,” Isbell reflects. “I had this reinvigorated sense of collaboration. You can have an idea and you can execute it and not compromise — and still listen to the other people in the room.”
