We really excited to be able to say it's two weeks today (On July 4th) that we'll be able to see Morgan Wallen at the BST Hyde Park concert in London. Alongside Mr Wallen we're also excited to be there to witness the UK debut of a certain Riley Green, which has been a long time in the making.
We've been down something of a ‘Riley Rabbit Hole' in recent times and have fallen in love with his very sultry and very sexy song, ‘Worst Way' from his recent ‘Way Out Here' EP and it got us thinking, what are the other sexy songs in Country music that have been released over the past couple of years? Well, another rabbit hole ensued and here's the results………..We're heading off for a cold shower now.
Riley Green – Worst Way
Oh boy, is it getting hot in here or is it just us? What a slick, sexy song this is. ‘You look like an angel tonight, but you might wanna slip off those wings,' Green advises as he also suggests putting away anything that might break. Blimey.
Matt Stell – What We Do Best
Another really new song, this time from Stell's new album, ‘Born Lonely.' A funky guitar line from the off suggests naughtiness and with lyrics like ‘Let's let that fire on our lips go all the way to our hands,' you can feel the temperature beginning to rise.
Lainey Wilson – Grease
Another funky, 70s-leaning guitar riff drives this sexy song ontop of the bass. This song builds to one of Lainey's best choruses. ‘You make a kettle on the stove wanna holler,' sings Lainey, all revved up with some place definitely to go!
Hannah Dasher – That Thing You Like
We're into ‘crazy ex-girlfriend' territory here as Hannah approaches her ex lover's new girlfriend. What's sexy about that we hear you cry! We'll it's what Hannah taught the guy that we are intrigued by and is what makes this song sexy. ‘Never was much of a lover, till I got him under the covers, remember when he's loving on you tonight, I'm the one that taught him that thing you like.' Saucy!
Ella Langley – That's Why We Fight
Ella is also appearing alongside Riley Green at the BST event at Hype Park two weeks from today. She's been steadily building a name and a reputation as being one of the most exciting rising Country artists around for a while now. This belter is all about the make-up sex between her and Koe Wetzel, her partner on the song. They appear to be driving each other crazy but they ‘do one thing right,' and you can guess what that might be, right?
