It’s been a breakout year for Sony Music Nashville’s Corey Kent. Recently named a CMT Listen Up Artist and a member of The Opry Next Stage Class of 2023, Kent has already surpassed 750 million career streams. His major label debut album ‘Blacktop' features the No. 1, Platinum-certified hit ‘Wild as Her.' The album reflects the Oklahoma native's journey on the blacktop, driving countless miles to share his music with fans.
Kent continues his momentum into 2024 with his headlining Black Bandana Tour. Kicking off in Paso Robles, California, on September 21, the tour will traverse the U.S. and U.K., with stops in New York, Boston, Atlanta, Dublin, London, and more, running into early 2025. Select dates will feature special guests Braxton Keith, Kaitlin Butts, Max McNown, Karley Scott Collins, and Lauren Watkins.
‘Blacktop,' produced by Kent, marks his first self-produced album and was recorded at the famed Capricorn Sound Studios. The album is a love letter to his southern roots, featuring local Georgia musicians and capturing the beauty in everyday moments with his signature southern electric sound and lyrical depth.
Kent's career has been marked by resilience and perseverance, which is reflected in the name of his tour. “For us, the black bandana has been what we’ve picked up in times when everyone thought we should wave a white flag to surrender,” Kent explained. “I’m so excited to still be doing what I love and can’t wait to get on the road this fall and see all those black bandanas waving back at me.”
After a year of touring with Parker McCollum and performing at festivals and on Jason Aldean’s Highway Desperado tour, Kent headlined several shows of his own and joined Ashley McBryde on her UK tour.
