The day is finally here – Beyoncé has released her much anticipated new album ‘Cowboy Carter’, which is Act II of her ‘Renaissance’ project.
Unlike ‘Renaissance’, which was a tribute to house music and disco, ‘Cowboy Carter’ sees Beyoncé exploring Country music. When the superstar released the first two songs – “Texas Hold ‘Em” and ’16 Carriages’ – they divided opinion and sparked plenty of heated debates. Is Beyoncé really ‘going Country’ or is this a one-off project hijacking a popular genre? That was the discussion that’s taken place ever since the project’s announcement.
