Josh Ross unveils new EP ‘Complicated & single ‘Matching Tattoos’

Rising country star Josh Ross has set the stage for a groundbreaking moment in his career with the announcement of his forthcoming EP, ‘Complicated,’ slated for release on March 29th. Produced by longtime collaborator Matt Geroux, known for hits like ‘Trouble’ and ‘Red Flags,’ the eight-track collection offers a glimpse into Ross’ life over the past couple of years, showcasing his talent for heartfelt storytelling fused with a contemporary country-rock vibe.

“Finally! I’m stoked to announce a body of work that showcases lyrically who I am as a person, and me sonically as a creative,” shares Ross. “‘Complicated’ represents who I’m becoming as an artist, and I’m excited for y’all to hear it.”

Leading the EP release is Ross’ emotionally charged piano ballad, ‘Matching Tattoos,’ available now. Co-written with Joe Fox, Mason Thornley, and Brad Rempel, the track delves into personal experiences, with Ross singing, “I wonder where you are now / Sometimes I still think of how / We said something bout forever / but what’s that mean at 22? / Cause all that lasted are some matching tattoos.”

“‘Matching Tattoos’ is very personal to me, it comes from a real experience I went through a few years ago,” Ross reveals. “I hope y’all can connect to the emotion here as much as I do.”

As Ross gears up for the EP release, he’s already making waves in the industry, earning recognition from Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, MusicRow, and more. Currently on his sold-out headlining ‘The Trouble Tour’ in Canada and supporting Bailey Zimmerman’s ‘Religiously. The Tour,’ Ross is set to take the stage at prestigious US festivals like Stagecoach and Country Thunder. Additionally, he’s been selected to join Luke Bryan’s ‘Mind Of A Country Boy Tour’ for select dates this summer.

With over 307 million global streams, Ross is solidifying his position in country music, highlighted by the success of “Trouble” reaching No. 1 on Canadian country radio and achieving Platinum certification.
