Karley Scott Collins releases soulful, gritty new song ‘Marlboro Reds’

Florida native and vocal powerhouse Karley Scott Collins graces the music scene with her latest track, ‘Marlboro Reds,’ a soulful and gritty tribute to her vivacious nana. The swampy rocker, now available, not only showcases Collins’ sharp songwriting but also encapsulates the wit and wisdom inherited from her family matriarch.

Collins shares the inspiration behind the track, stating, “Growing up, when nana would take a smoke break, we’d sit together, and she’d tell me all about her life. I think I heard every curse word for the first time, heard about how she got her first speeding ticket on the way to see Merle Haggard, laughed harder than I probably ever have, and learned a lot about the best and worst parts of life. Sitting next to nana is one of my favourite places to be in the world. I hope when people hear this one, they feel like they’re right there with me, nana, and her Marlboro Reds.”

In recognition of her rising talent, Collins was recently named to CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2024, joining the ranks of esteemed artists such as Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Carly Pearce, and Lainey Wilson. On February 27, she is set to grace the stage at Nashville’s City Winery for CMT Next Women of Country + Song Suffragettes writers round. For ticket information, click here.

Following a successful tour with Larry Fleet last fall, Collins is gearing up to open for one of her musical idols, Willie Nelson, on select dates in February. Additionally, she is set to make her European debut at the C2C Festival (March 2-10). Performing in Rotterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, London, Glasgow, and Belfast, Collins will be part of the Country Music Association’s Introducing Nashville set, promising an unforgettable musical experience.

As ‘Marlboro Reds’ reverberates with soulful energy, Karley Scott Collins continues to make her mark on the country music scene, solidifying her status as one of the genre’s most exciting rising stars.
