The update schedule for Pet Simulator 99 is much slower than its predecessor Pet Sim X and at first, I was a bit cynical and thought the devs were dragging things out. I am pleased to announce that I was wrong and that the quality of updates has been fantastic so far. Update 5 is no exception and adds many new things to do and some much-needed quality-of-life improvements. World 99 is now open for business but is this actually the final world we can expect to see? Hints in the game suggest that this isn’t the case as at the very end of world we see a space rocket preparing to lift off somewhere. Is this hinting that we are off into space soon? Most players, and myself, think so but we will have to wait for future updates to be certain. I must say I do like this little tease though as it keeps us thinking and talking about what might come next.
In addition to the new world, we get a whole host of new loot options including bundles of flags, potions and enchants, new world events such as the fantastic Pinata, brand new mini-games which provide loot for the new magic machine and so much more!
The new magic machine is a nice addition that allows players to craft their own items including the hard-to-attain charm stones, huge potions and the magic orb enchant. To use the magic machine you will need to spend some time in both the new fishing and dig site mini-games to get the reagents required.
It’s nice to see the devs listening to players about quality-of-life issues and this update sees some really nice changes. You can now save different enchant loadouts making it much easier to change things depending on what you are doing in the game. You can now also place multiple flags at once, YES!!. Previously you would have to return to an area every five minutes to put down a new flag but now we can put down up to 90 mins worth of flags all in one go. If this has been the only new thing added in this update I’d have been a happy man!
Finally we have a new premium egg offering new exclusives, huges and a titanic. These ’emoji’ pets are some of the worst I’ve seen in the robux eggs so I for one won’t be buying any of these.
