Calum Scott returns with new single ‘Lighthouse’

Calum Scott has released his new single ‘Lighthouse’, taken from his upcoming third studio album.

The song follows the release of ‘At Your Worst’, which was supported by BBC Radio 2, and it’s the latest sample of new music from Scott since the release of his 2022 album ‘Bridges’. You can watch the lyric video for ‘Lighthouse’ at the top of this article.

“‘Lighthouse’ is a story about light in the darkness, the hope on the horizon, even if it’s in the distance and almost out of view it reminds you of what’s important and what makes you feel safe,” saysĀ Calum. “It was written at a time when I was missing home and just getting a FaceTime or a text can be that lighthouse for me. I really pushed my limits to record the vocals on this, tried to sing with as much passion and raw emotion as I could – the production really helped with that and makes the story feel monstrous and powerful and will fill the stadiums IĀ’m about to sing at whilst supporting Ed Sheeran!”Ā”

Scott is currently on the road with Ed Sheeran on the 2024 Mathematics Stadium Tour. The tour kicked off earlier this week and will take in over 20 dates across Asia and Europe. Recently Scott collaborated with Take That for a new version of their hit ‘Greatest Day’, which he performed with the band at Windsor Castle for King Charles III’s coronation celebration.

Over the course of the last 18 months, Scott has teamed up with Jax Jones for ‘Whistle’ and Kygo and Gryffin for ‘Woke Up in Love’. His collaboration with Lost Frequencies, ‘Where Are You Now’, was the biggest dance song of 2022.
