Seth MacFarlane’s ‘Ted’ prequel series coming to the UK in February

‘Ted’ will launch in the UK on Sky Max and NOW on 9th February 2024, it has been confirmed.

The prequel series tells the story of John Bennett (played by Mark Wahlberg in the films) and his early relationship with Ted (Seth MacFarlane).

It’s 1993, and Ted the bearā€™s moment of fame has passed. Heā€™s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with Johnā€™s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, heā€™s a loyal pal whoā€™s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.

Katie Keenan, Group Director of Acquisitions, Sky UK said:Ā ā€œWeā€™re honoured to welcome the foul-mouthed, larger-than-life character that is Ted to Sky next year. TheĀ ‘Ted’Ā movies were a global smash hit, and we canā€™t wait to see what the TV prequel has in store, however given Seth is behind the project, we know itā€™s going to be riotous fun for Sky customers, from start to finish.ā€

‘Ted’Ā will air on Sky Max and NOW on 9thĀ February. Watch the trailer for the series at the top of this article.
