George Birge celebrates the new year with a number one song

While the holiday season may have come to a close, RECORDS Nashville artist-songwriter George Birge is still basking in the glow of a significant milestone — securing his inaugural Country radio #1 with his debut single, ‘Mind On You.’

Crafted in collaboration with fellow songwriters Jaron Boyer, Michael Tyler, and Colt Ford, the hypnotic late-night anthem has soared to the top of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay chart this week. This achievement, along with other notable accolades, firmly establishes Birge as an undeniable rising star in the country music scene.

In an impressive crossover to the all-genre realm, ‘Mind On You’ not only marked Birge’s debut on the Billboard Hot 100 list, entering at #88, but also earned him recognition on the all-format Radio Songs chart, securing a spot in the Top 20. Billboard highlighted the song’s success, citing 31.6 MILLION radio airplay audience impressions and 1.1 MILLION U.S. streams for the previous week.

Taking to social media to share his excitement, Birge expressed gratitude to his supporters: “My FIRST NUMBER ONE on the LAST day of the year… Y’all I have dreamed of this day my entire life, and there were at least a hundred sleepless nights where I thought it might never come true. Y’all never quit on me and believed in me even when I didn’t, and today we have the NUMBER ONE SONG IN AMERICA…”

Further affirming his place in the country music spotlight, Birge has released a high-octane remix of ‘Mind On You’ featuring charlieonnafriday and Kidd G. As he continues to ride the wave of early success, the title track to his upcoming 2023 album debut solidifies his position as a noteworthy force in the industry.

Adding to his list of achievements, Birge has been selected for the prestigious New Faces of Country Music lineup for CRS 2024. Set to perform alongside other emerging artists like Dillon Carmichael, Corey Kent, Megan Moroney, and Conner Smith, Birge will take the stage at this highly anticipated annual show. The concert serves as a platform to showcase artists who have made a significant impact on Country radio between November 1, 2022, and October 31, 2023.

Looking ahead, the newly minted chart-topper is gearing up to hit the road again. Beginning on February 1 in Peoria, Illinois, George Birge will join Parker McCollum on select dates of the BURN IT DOWN TOUR 2024, covering various cities across the Eastern U.S. until the grand finale on June 1 in Jacksonville, Florida.
