2023 has been a great year for Country music. From the arena phenomenons of Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs to the challenging, cutting edge artists like Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan, Country / Roots / Americana music has flourished this year. Here we begin the process of finding out what the top 10 Country music songs of 2023 are.
As we get to the end of the year and the time for reflection and lists emerges we thought you might like to see what’s on our mind when it comes to choosing our top songs of the year. Our mission statement at EF Country is always to support good Country music, whether that be the commercial side of the genre or something a little more obscure. However, we leave the more folky and rootsy side of the genre to more specialised platforms. For us, Nashville and Texas are the beating heart of what we love and so the list reflects those interests.
As the month of December progresses we’ll eventually narrow done this long list to just the top 15 songs of 2023 but in the meantime, here’s the long list of nearly 80 songs, clocking in at over four and a half hours long for you to follow / listen / subscribe and enjoy!
