In anticipation of their upcoming duets album, “More Than Words Can Tell,” Victoria Liedtke and Jason Ringenberg release the project's first single, “Life Rides The Train.” Scheduled for release on March 22nd, the album explores the early songwriting partnership of country music legends Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner, presenting a selection of musical gems and lesser-known tracks from their extensive catalog.
The lead single, ‘Life Rides The Train,' originally penned and recorded by Porter Wagoner in 1972, gained further prominence when Dolly Parton and Porter covered it on their 1975 album ‘Say Forever You’ll Be Mine.' Liedtke highlights the project's aim to not only showcase Dolly's songwriting prowess but also celebrate the exceptional songcraft of Porter, with ‘Life Rides The Train' standing out as a testament to his skill.
Jason Ringenberg, acclaimed as the “Godfather of Americana” by Mojo magazine, expressed his excitement when approached by Liedtke for the project, emphasizing the creative ambition and unique reinterpretations brought to the classic songs. The duo recorded the album at Vale Studios in Worcester, UK, during the Summer of 2022, enlisting a predominantly UK-based band featuring accomplished musicians from various genres.
Victoria Liedtke, originally from Oklahoma and now residing in the Yorkshire Dales, found joy in merging the worlds of Americana, Country, Folk, and Pop by collaborating with talented UK musicians. The album, produced by Liedtke and co-produced by Elliot Vaughan, promises a colorful and beautiful collection of songs, breathing new life into classic American country tunes.
With pre-orders starting on December 1st, ‘More Than Words Can Tell' is set to captivate audiences with its fresh interpretations and thoughtful collaborations on its release next year. For more information, visit Victoria and Jason's official website.
