Kings of Leon will play two huge outdoor shows at Racecourse Ground, home of Wrexham AFC, on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May 2023.
Taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend, the shows follow the band’s massive UK arena tour in 2022. That run included two shows at The O2 in London and it was the band’s first UK shows since headlining Reading and Leeds Festival in 2018.
The Racecourse Ground is the worldās oldest international stadium that still continues to host international games. Formed in 1864, Wrexham AFC are the oldest club in Wales and the third oldest professional team in the world. Owned by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, their goal is to invest in the team while making a positive difference to the wider community in Wrexham.
Kings of Leon’s latest album, ‘When You See Yourself’, was released in March 2021 and it became the band’s sixth album in a row to debut at number one here in the UK.
Since their debut in 2003,Ā KingsĀ of Leon, Caleb (guitar/vocals), Nathan (drums), Jared (bass) and Matthew Followill (guitar) have released eight studio albums. They have sold over 20 million albums and nearly 40 million singles worldwide.
