The trailer, a poster, a series of images and a featurette have been released for upcoming supernatural horror “The Pope’s Exorcist”.
Starring Russell Crowe, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe and Franco Nero, the film is directed by Julius Avery and written by Michael Petroni and Evan Spiliotopoulos. It is based on the book ‘An Exorcist Tells His Story and An Exorcist: More Stories’ by Gabriele Amorth.
Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Crowe), “The Pope’s Exorcist” follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.
The newly released featurette sees star Crowe talking about his role and the inspiration behind the film. Watch it below:
