Rising British Blues star Connor Selby will perform shows at Manchester’s Gullivers and London’s Amazing Grace this Spring, it has been announced.
The new shows have been announced off the back of Selby being nominated in four categories at the UK Blues Awards. The singer-songwriter is nominated for UK Blues Artist of the Year, UK Blues Vocalist of the Year, UK Blues Instrumentalist of the Year, and UK Blues Acoustic Act of the Year.
2023 is shaping up to big a big year for the singer who will be supporting PP Arnold and Beth Hart in the coming months. Selbyās earthy roots sound has also seen him open for the likes of The Who at Wembley Stadium, and perform at Hyde Park on the bill with Pearl Jam, Stereophonics and Johnny Marr.
Raised in Essex and having spent time in the UAE and USA, Connorās love of Americana and Blues draws on luminaries such as Eric Clapton and Ray Charles, but also draws in elements of soul and classic 70s singer-songwriters.
He will release the deluxe edition of his most recent album ‘I Shouldnāt Care’ on 3rd March, and has received support recently from the likes of Cerys Matthews on BBC Radio 2ās Blues Show.
